Why I am doing this.

I want to see what happens when you get a bunch of creative types together and encourage them to create. I am partially inspired by Warren Ellis' old site, The Engine. Occasionally he would issue a challenge to the people there to recreate some character or scene in their own way. Usually it was for the artists, but occasionally he would kick one to the writers too. I had a blast doing the one or two he did for writers and thought that this kind of ethic would work well towards a community. Another idea that Warren introduced me to is the concept of a group nom de plume where writers who either want to remain anonymous for reasons of varying importance would use a single common name to produce content. Frankly, this community is all Warren's fault. I don't recall caring about building it before he stuck a seed in people's minds. So here it is, come, create, have fun.
